TECR for CBRN® + HEAT Training

October 2026 Session – Minimum 15 TECR for CBRN® Participants

SMAT Training is organising the TECR for CBRN® + HEAT training programme in Rio, Brazil, as part of the Brazil pilot session.

This combined programme brings together two complementary operational training modules:

• TECR for CBRN® – Tactical Emergency Critical Response for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Incidents
• HEAT – Hostile Environment Awareness Training

This training is designed for participants who wish to develop a structured, practical and operational approach to CBRN / NRBC incident management, tactical emergency care, degraded environments, hostile environments and high-risk operational contexts.

The programme combines:

• emergency care in tactical environments, based on TECC principles;
• CBRN / NRBC response;
• intervention techniques in contaminated areas;
• stress management, risk assessment and operational protocols;
• practical training in realistic conditions;
• decision-making in degraded environments;
• casualty management in unstable contexts;
• hostile environment awareness;
• personal safety and operational security principles;
• behaviour, movement and decision-making in high-risk environments;
• practical exercises and mission-style scenarios.

Important Information about HEAT

The HEAT module is organised only as a continuation of the TECR for CBRN® training.

SMAT will not travel to Brazil solely to deliver a standalone HEAT course.

The HEAT module may be delivered only if the minimum number of participants is reached and if it is organised immediately after the TECR for CBRN® course.

Minimum Participants

The TECR for CBRN® course requires a minimum of 15 confirmed, registered and paid participants.

The HEAT module requires a minimum of 10 confirmed, registered and paid participants, either for:

• HEAT only;
• or the combined TECR for CBRN® + HEAT option.
