Training Description

The target group for this HEAT training is mission personnel selected to be deployed on low/medium/high-risk missions or recently deployed on such missions. These deployments can last from one week to two years.

All personnel members should have completed a general introduction course on crisis management operations (eBASE and eSAFE, for example) or have gained relevant experience in international field operations.

Unit 1: Personal Security Awareness  

  • Awareness of risk situations
  • Identification of potential hazards
  • Adopt a preventive behavior

Unit 2: First Aid

  • Putting into practice and theoretical courses in first aid with different cases

Unit 3: Communication and Navigation Tools 

  • Processing of the most commonly used communication tools

UNIT 4 : IED, UXO, Mines, Weapon Awareness

  • Understand the different types of weapons
  • In-depth knowledge of the field

UNIT 5 : Hostage Situations

  • Measures to be taken in the event of different hostage-taking
  • Knowledge of phases

UNIT 6 : Incident Response Training

  • Conflict management
  • Techniques in case of aggression
