H.E.A.T. - Hostile Environment Awareness Training

DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING
The target group for this HEAT training is mission personnel selected for deployment on low/medium/high risk missions or recently deployed on such missions. These deployments can last from one week to two years.
All personnel should have completed a general introduction course to crisis management operations (e.g. eBASE and eSAFE) or have relevant experience in international field operations.Â

Unit 1: Personal Safety Awareness Â
- Awareness of risk situations
- Identification of potential dangers
- Adopting preventive behaviour
Unit 2: First Aid
- Practical and theoretical lessons in first aid with different cases
Unit 3: Communication and Navigation ToolsÂ
- Treatment of the different communication tools most commonly used
Unit 4: IED, UXO, Mines, Weapons AwarenessÂ
- Understanding the different types of weaponsÂ
- In-depth knowledge of the field
UnitĂ© 5: Situations d’Otages
- Measures to take in the event of different hostage situations
- Knowledge of the phases
Unit 6: Incident Response Training
- Conflict Management
- Techniques in the event of aggression
